Victoria Place: new condos in Bucktown
Bucktown, which went from an artsy, edgy enclave with Polish roots to an expensive neighborhood of popular boutiques and bars during the ‘90s, has little room for new construction. That should spur sales at Victoria Place, a new development of 15 condos at 1815 N. Milwaukee, priced from the $390s to the $410s.

The project calls for three new brick buildings with retail on the ground floors, according to Charles Huzenis of Jameson Realty Group, the exclusive sales and marketing agent, www.Jameson.com.

Designed by architects Hartshorne & Plunkard, the four-story brick buildings have limestone detailing along their rooflines, three main entrances and balconies with iron railings.

The condos will have two bedrooms, two baths, rear decks and parking, which is included in the purchase price. Features include ceiling heights of around 10 feet, Brazilian cherry or oak flooring, crown moldings in living areas, 42-inch maple cabinets, a stainless-steel appliances, granite countertops, Grohe faucets and full-sized washers and dryers. Master baths have marble floors and surrounds, double sinks with a choice of granite or marble countertops, Grohe fixtures, maple vanities and showers with frameless glass doors.
